Field Trip to North Sulphur River - 

  •  Meet in the Ladonia town square at 8;30am.  The area dates from the Cretaceous to the Pleistocene Period.   Possible finds, among others, will include gastropods, Baculites, ammonites, fish and shark teeth, Mosasaur, Plesiosaur and turtle material.  This is a weather sensitive trip please check the DPS Hotline for last minute changes.   What to bring: a light backpack, a tool to pry with or a rock hammer, zip-lock bags for your finds and a couple bottles of water.   Please check with Polly Mullinnex for further information.   pollym@airmail.net  903 916-0083

The DPS is a group of professional and amateur paleontologists that want to exchange information, interact, and continue their education in paleontology.  We meet once a month on the second Wednesday evening of the month at Brookhaven College, Building H.
