North Texas Naturalists meeting

At the February 3, 2016, North Texas Master Naturalists chapter meeting SMU’s esteemed professors Dr. Louis Jacobs (DPS Advisor) and Dr. Bonnie Jacobs will present “The Long and Short of the Trinity River in North Texas”. Tom Green is a graduate student of Dr. Bonnie Jacobs and he will present his research on vegetation change over the past 10,000 years in North Central Texas along the Trinity River. 

Who we are

The DPS is a group of professional and amateur paleontologists that want to exchange information, interact, and continue their education in paleontology.  We meet once a month on the second Wednesday evening of the month at Brookhaven College, Building H.


If you have a question, if you have a fossil that you cannot identify, or need a site investigation, contact the Fossil Bureau of Investigation for help.
