9am at the site. Those wishing to go should buy a parking pass from the Fort Richardson State Park or online here.

We will be collecting fossils from an exposure of the Caboniferous Pennsylvanian period (300mya) near Jacksboro, TX at the world famous site. Fossils to be found include brachiopods, bivalve, corals, sponges, cephalopods, gastropods, crinoids, and many others.

Who we are

The DPS is a group of professional and amateur paleontologists that want to exchange information, interact, and continue their education in paleontology. We meet once a month on the second Wednesday evening of the month at Brookhaven College, Building H.
