Regular Scheduled Meeting for DPS in June

  • Wed, June 10, 2026
  • 6:30 PM - 9:00 PM
  • Brookhaven College, Dallas

Our next Regular meeting is Wednesday, June 10 for the DPS at Brookhaven College, 6:30 for visiting and 7:00 for the program.

I am Connor D. White, a current Ph.D. Student at Baylor University going into my second year, and my advisors are Drs. Lindey Yann and Dan Peppe. I received my undergraduate degree from Louisiana State University and my master's degree from East Tennessee State University. I am a vertebrate paleontologist, and my primary research interests have been fossil proboscideans in North America with a focus on descriptive anatomy, biostatistics, niche modeling, and stable isotope analysis.

The topic of my presentation will be my master's thesis titled: "Descriptions of Interglacial Mastodons from Snowmass, Colorado." The focus is on describing and reidentifying the assemblage of mastodon fossils from the Ziegler Reservoir Fossil Site in Snowmass, Colorado.

DPS meetings are always free and open to the public.
